Path of Cultivating Internationally-oriented Applied Talents of Minor Languages in Public Elective Courses:Taking the Course of"Introduction to Korean Language"in Chongqing Three Gorges University as an Example
As China's international political and economic influence continues to radiate outward,the cultivation of internation-ally-oriented applied talents with"international vision+language proficiency+professional skills"has gradually become an important issue in the field of education.Based on the current teaching and operation framework of universities,using public elective courses to teach minor languages is an important complementary means to reserve international applied talents of minor languages.Cultivating internationally-oriented applied talents of minor languages in public elective courses has advantages of independent selectivity,full professionalism,and online and offline multi-platform operation.However,they also face challenges such as insufficient learning effect,insufficient learning depth,low student participation,and large differences in learning background and levels.Therefore,it is necessary to further improve the teaching mechanism and management system of public elective courses,optimize the educational resources and curriculum setting of minor languages,and enhance the enthusiasm and initiative of students.By doing so,feasible suggestions can be provided for cultivating a group of internationally-oriented applied talents with multilingual proficiency in higher education institutions.
