Spatial Transformation,Color Metaphor and Observation of Lower Class:Narrative Mode in Octagonal
Adapted from the real event of"Fighting Orphans",the film Octagonal takes the transformation of the living space of the lower-class characters as the narrative clue, uses concrete screen pictures and color language to depict and metaphorize the living plight of the lower-class characters, and adopts the narrative technique of"suppressing first and then raising"to focus on the vulnera-ble groups through the shooting perspective of head-up or upward. On the basis of observing the lower-class characters,a warm and peaceful narrative mode of the film is constructed, which excavates, examines and reveals the simple human nature and firm faith shown by the lower-class people when they face the"trapped"of survival and the"encirclement"of reality.
