Impact of Professional Level on the Creativity of Design Undergraduates
With the arrival of the AIGC era, designers'creativity has become the main manifestation of their professional level, and the maintenance and improvement of creativity has become the main goal of teaching undergraduate design students. However, relevant empirical research has rarely been involved. The present study aims to explore the creativity of design undergraduates and its influencing factors, with a special focus on the relationship between professional level, creative personal identity and creativity.Through a questionnaire survey among undergraduate students majoring in design, the adapted Williams Creativity Aptitude Test scale was used to evaluate students'creativity level, and structural equation modeling(SEM)was used to analyze the data. The results of path analysis show that the direct impact of professional level on creativity is not significant, while creative personal identity plays a complete mediating role between professional level and creativity. In particular, creative personal identity partially offsets the possible decrease in creativity associated with increasing professional levels, indicating that creative personal identity plays a key role in promo-ting the development of students'creativity. The conclusion emphasizes the need to strengthen students'creative personal identity cul-tivation while improving professional skills to better promote the development of their creativity.
