Application of the Word"Decoration"in the Field of Art Design
The term"decoration"was coined in the traditional Chinese arts and crafts,which in ancient times referred specif-ically to the binding and layout of books.Later the meaning of the term was influenced by the development of modern commerce,the word"decoration"gradually derives the meaning of decorative items or articles decoration,and is widely applied in fields like com-modity packaging,interior design,etc.resulting in a certain misunderstanding.According to research,the concept of"decoration"should be more oriented towards graphic design or visual communication design,and therefore,under the influence of factors such as the lack of directionality of its meaning,foreign design ideas and changes in information media,the final adjustment of decoration de-sign to visual communication design also conforms to the trend of the times.
