Research on the market for reactive aucillary services based on a value-allocation approach
The problem of system voltage fluctuation caused by the grid integration of new energy units brings new challenges to reactive power regulations of the power systems. When compared with the single reactive power regulation method and compensation standard,market-based reactive power regulation can reflect the temporal and spatial characteristics of different reactive power sources and stimulate the investment and construction of reactive power compensation equipments. Therefore,a market clearing mechanism for reactive aucillary services based on the value allocation method is proposed to incentivize new energy units and user-side reactive compensation equipments to participate in reactive power dispatch.Firstly, the offer rules of market members are clarified, and the market clearing model is constructed.Secondly, the reactive power compensation mechanism is formulated, and the pricing formula for reactive aucillary services based on the value allocation method is proposed. The Vickery-Clark-Groves mechanism is used to quantify the genuine reactive power value of market members and suppress the market power.Simulation analyses are conducted using IEEE-30 node data to obtain the reactive power output plan, active network losses, reactive node tariffs and reactive compensation costs for each period. The results show that conducting the reactive power market based on the value allocation method can motivate market members to provide real bids, maintain the stability of the system voltage level, and enable each type of reactive power compensation equipment to obtain reasonable benefits.
