Study on estimation and spatial-temporal pattern of sugarcane carbon sink in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region
To achieve the goal of reducing emissions and increasing carbon sequestration in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region's vegetation, scientific measurements were conducted to assess the carbon absorption and emission levels of sugarcane, which was a primary economic crop in Guangxi.Additionally,a research analysis was undertaken to study the spatiotemporal pattern of carbon sequestration in sugarcane. This study utilized statistical data on sugarcane production and agricultural input from 2010 to 2020 across Guangxi to calculate the net carbon sink of sugarcane in the entire region.Spatial autocorrelation analysis was employed to analyze the spatiotemporal distribution patterns of sugarcane carbon sink across the 14 prefecture-level cities in Guangxi from 2005 to 2020.The results showed that from 2010 to 2020,the net carbon sink of sugarcane in Guangxi gradually increased. From 2005 to 2020,there was no obvious global spatial autocorrelation of the sugarcane carbon sink in Guangxi at the prefecture-level city scale. The carbon sink of sugarcane in Guangxi gradually formed a local spillover pattern with Nanning city as the core.It was imperative to fully leverage Nanning's technological and industrial advantages to expand the spatial spillover effect of the sugarcane carbon sink,so as to enhance the level of sugarcane carbon sequestration in Guangxi.
