Study on seismic performance of slag-based geopolymer concrete columns
To study the seismic performance of slag-based geopolymer concrete columns with different strength levels, three ordinary concrete cantilever column specimens and three slag-based geopolymer concrete cantilever column specimens were designed.through the low cyclic loading test, the failure mode, crack development, hysteretic performance, displacement ductility, energy dissipation performance, stiffness and strength degradation, and load-bearing capacity of geopolymer concrete columns were evaluated, and the influence of concrete type and concrete strength on the seismic performance of the specimens was analyzed. The research results show that the seismic performance of slag-based geopolymer concrete column is not significantly improved compared with ordinary concrete specimen under low cyclic loading;Increasing the strength of geopolymer concrete will change the failure mode of geopolymer concrete columns, thus adversely affecting partial seismic performance(ductility, energy dissipation capacity);the validation of the results shows that the bending load capacity calculation formula in Code for the Design of Concrete Structures(GB 50010-2010)underestimates geopolymer concrete members, and it is safer to extend it to engineering applications.
