To clarify the impact mechanism of psychological factors on the academic reintegration of veteran college students,this study adopted a sequential exploratory mixed-method design.Based on the coding results from interview surveys,it was identified that academic self-efficacy,school belongingness,and identity recognition are the main psychological factors affecting the academic reintegration of veteran college students.Subsequently,based on questionnaire data from 736 veteran college students across 71 universities nationwide,verification analysis showed that:(1)academic self-efficacy,school belongingness,and identity recognition all positively influence the academic reintegration process;(2)school belongingness among veteran college students positively affects both academic self-efficacy and identity recognition;(3)identity recognition among veteran college students positively influences academic self-efficacy;(4)identity recognition and academic self-efficacy play significant mediating roles in the academic reintegration process.
