Effects of Site Factors on Dynamic Changes of Caragana korshinskii Biomass
Shrubs are main vegetation types in arid and semi-arid areas of northwest China.Dynamic predic-tion of shrub biomass is conductive to evaluate primary productivity and carbon storage of shrub forests in the region.Taking shrub species Caragana korshinskii as study subject,based on Logistic theoretical growth equa-tions,effects of taking site factors and their interactions as dummy variables on models were analyzed,and dy-namic prediction model of C.korshinskii biomass was constructed to explore dynamic change rules of shrub bio-mass under effects of site factors.Results showed that effects of slope gradient and slope aspect on C.korshin-skii biomass were extremely significant,and effect of slope gradient was greater than that of slope aspect.Effect of altitude was not significant.When single site factor was used as dummy variable,prediction accuracies of dif-ferent models ranked as parameter c>parameter b>parameter a.Model introduced to parameter b based on inter-action of slope aspect and slope gradient as dummy variable performed best(adj-R2=0.887 5).Results could clarify response mechanism of dynamic changes of C.korshinskii biomass to site conditions,and provide refer-ences for prediction of C.korshinskii biomass in study area.
