Investigation and Analysis of Plant Landscape in Children's Play Areas of Jiangnan Park in Nanning
Plants are necessary components of urban park green spaces and important carriers for children's out-door natural experiences.In order to understand current situation of plant resources and landscape spaces in children's play areas of Jiangnan Park in Nanning,field survey method was used to investigate and analyze plant landscape.Results showed that there were 59 species of garden plants in children's play areas of Jiangnan Park,belonging to 34 families and 54 genera.Life forms were complete with evergreen arbors and evergreen shrubs as main plants,which accounted for 64.41%of total plant species.Ornamental characteristics were mainly leaf and flower,plants of which accounted for 59.32%and 57.63%of total plant species respectively.There were 36 na-tive plants and 23 exotic plants,which accounted for 61.02%and 38.98%of total plant species respectively.Forms of plant spaces included three types,which were open,semi-open and covered.Plant spaces were rich,but variety and configuration of plants were less interesting.From children's perspectives,urban park active spaces where children play,experience and learn could be created by methods of exploring interests of plants,improving richness of plant species,and tapping into knowledge and culture connotations of plants.
