Distributions of Brainea insignis in Guangdong and Analysis on Traceability of its Traditional Chinese Medicine Decoction Pieces
In order to provide basis for conservation and sustainable use of Brainea insignis resources, more comprehensive field survey of B. insignis populations in Guangdong was carried out using sample line method. Stable carbon and nitrogen isotope ratios and contents of carbon and nitrogen were determined to preliminary trace sources of traditional Chinese medicine decoction pieces. Results showed that B. insignis mainly distribut-ed in Huizhou, Heyuan, Meizhou and Shenzhen which were belonging to east of Beijiang River, and less distrib-uted in west of Beijiang River. Latitude of B. insignis distribution sites ranged from 22°36'-24°39' N, longitude ranged from 112°35'-116°48' E, and altitude ranged from 26 to 706 m. Results of preliminary traceabilities of two batches of traditional Chinese medicine decoction pieces showed that they might originate from Guangdong Luofushan Provincial Nature Reserve, Guangdong Huidong Lianhuashan Baipenzhu Provincial Nature Reserve and Guangdong Heping Huangshi'au Provincial Nature Reserve.
