Analysis on Chemical Components of Ethanol Extracts from Five Michelia Woods
In order to investigate chemical components and utilization values of ethanol extracts of woods from Michelia (Magnoliaceae), chemical components of ethanol extracts from M. fujianensis, M. macclurei, M. maudi-ae, M. chapensis and M. skinneriana woods were determined and analyzed by using two-dimensional gas chro-matography-mass spectrometry technology. Results showed that there were 16, 23, 27, 16 and 21 major compo-nents of ethanol extracts from M. fujianensis, M. macclurei, M. maudiae, M. chapensis and M. skinneriana woods respectively. The most abundant components of ethanol extracts from M. fujianensis and M. chapensis woods were inositol. The most abundant component of ethanol extracts from M. macclurei woods was costunolide. The most abundant components of ethanol extracts from M. maudiae and M. skinneriana woods were acetic acid. Characteristic components of ethanol extracts from M. macclurei woods were (+)-Aromadendrene and β-El-emene. Characteristic components of ethanol extracts from M. maudiae woods were reynosin and 8-hydroxy-3-methyl-isochroman-1-one. Characteristic component of ethanol extracts from M. chapensis woods was malonic acid. Characteristic components of ethanol extracts from M. skinneriana woods were 2(3H)-Furanone, dihydro-5-methyl-3-methylene-, 6,7-Dimethoxyisoquinoline and 3',5'-Dimethoxy-4'-hydroxyacetophenone.
