Language Life Traditions and the Interaction,Exchange and Integration among Peoples:A Case Study of the Erhai Region in Western Yunnan
The historical process of interaction,exchange and integration among peoples has shaped the language life of the Chinese nation,and a harmonious and healthy language life has created favorable conditions and environment for the interaction,exchange and integration among peoples in return.In the Erhai region of western Yunnan,peoples,with the Bai Ethnic Group being the majority,have taken the initiative to learn,use,disseminate and develop the Chinese language,which has created a favorable linguistic and cultural environment for the interaction,exchange and integration among the local ethnic groups,and fostered a deeper recognition and identification with the China and the Chinese culture.At the same time,the diverse and vibrant languages and culture of all ethnic groups have also been preserved,inherited and developed.The harmonious integration of subjectivity and diversity of the language life pattern in the Erhai region stands as a typical example of the historical development of community for the Chinese nation.In the new era,building a harmonious and healthy language life,deepening the interactions,exchanges,and integration among peoples through languages and scripts,forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation,and constructing a common spiritual home of the Chinese nation is not only an inheritance and promotion of excellent traditional cultures,but also of great practical significance.
