Research on the Impact and Economic Mechanism of New Quality Productive Forces on Common Prosperity
As a crucial part of digital economy development,new quality productive forces play a practical role in driving traditional industries to improve quality and efficiency,as well as solidly promoting the process of common prosperity.Based on the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2012 to 2022,this essay examines the effect and mechanism of new quality productive forces on common prosperity by using econometric tools such as fixed effect model,mediation effect model,threshold effect model and moderating effect model.The results of the study reveal that new productive forces have a significant effect of positively empowering common prosperity,which is effective at the national level,especially in promoting the process of common prosperity in western China.The mechanism analysis shows that the new quality productive forces can indirectly empower the common prosperity by narrowing down the gap of urban-rural development and promoting the rationalization of industrial structure.The analysis of the threshold effect proves that with the rationalization of industrial structure as the threshold,the empowering effect of the new quality productive forces on the common prosperity shows the trend of marginal incremental change instead of being single and linear.Further moderating effects show that the level of digital economy development has a positive moderating effect in the process of empowering the common prosperity by the new quality productive forces.
