The Interaction between Academic Community and Academic Journals:Taking the Evolution of Genetica Sinica as an Example
The paper adopts methods such as archival research, literature analysis, and interviews with individuals, taking the evolution of Genetica Sinica from the 1950s to the 1970s as an example,to explore the interaction of academic community and academic journals.Research has found that the division of the academic community in the 1950s constrained the development of the Genetica Sinica. It was not until the 1970s that different schools abandoned sectarianism and worked together to promote the transformation from the Genetica Sinica to the Acta Genetica Sinica. The smooth transformation of the journal has effectively consolidated the academic community and improved the academic ecology of genetics. Therefore, the academic community and academic journals complement each other. And only through collaborative development and high integration can the two lead academic trends and promote social progress.
