Investigation on the Growth Situation of Six New Clones of Camellia Oleifera in the Early Stages of Afforestation in Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County
[Objective]To find out the growth performance of six new clones of Camellia oleifera, such as"Cenruan No.24",in the early stages of afforestation in Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County,Guangxi, and provide a basis for the new Camellia oleifera forest in this area.[Method]The survival rate was counted after 3 months of afforestation. In December 2022,the tree height, ground diameter, crown width of the test forest were measured, and the survival rate and 2-year-old flowering tree after 3 months of afforestation were counted.One-way analysis of variance and Waller-Duncan method were applied to compare the differences between the data.[Result]The results showed that the afforestation survival rates of the six clones tested were all above 92.0%,meeting the local planting survival standards; After 2 years of afforestation, there were significant differences in the ratio of tree height, ground diameter, crown width, and flowering plants among the six clones. The best tree height performance is"Cenruan No.11",followed by"Xianglin No.210","Cenruan No.24","Cenruan No.3","Huashuo",and"Guipu No.32".The best ground diameter performance is"Cenruan No.11",followed by"Cenruan No.24".The best crown diameter performance was"Cenruan No.24",followed by"Xianglin No.210"."Cenruan No.24"showed the highest percentage of flowering plants, followed by"Huashuo".Overall,"Cenruan No.11","Cenruan No.24",and"Xianglin No.210"showed significant growth in the early stages of afforestation.[Conclusion]It is suggested that the new afforestation of Camellia oleifera should obtain higher yield by reasonable selection of clones and scientific allocation of clones.
