The Growth Performance of the Provenances and Families of the Sixteen-Year-Old Michelia Macclurei
The Michelia macclurei has abundant variations in its provenance and families,and has great breeding potential.The mid-early evaluation of tree age can provide reference for the selection of excellent provenances and families of Michelia macclurei.In this study,the growth performance of 16-year-old Michelia macclurei provenances and families was evaluated by applying the membership function value,taking the progeny forest of 11 excellent individuals from 4 provenances in Guangxi as the test object,and No.3 as the control group.The results showed that Xinyi was the best among the four provenances,with 11 families performing as No.23>No.7>No.5>No.11>No.4>No.15>No.16>No.24>No.27>No.13>No.3.Among them,scores of No.23,No.7,No.5,and No.11 were all above 0.5,which can be applied as a choice for excellent families.
