Effect of Different Ovulation Stimulating Schemes on the Production of Double,Multiple and Live Calves in Cows
[Objective]The aim of this paper was to study the effects of different ovulation stimulating shemes on the production of double, multiple calves and live calves in yellow cows.[Method]200 crossbred yellow cows were randomly divided into 4 groups, namely group A(101 cows)as the control group, and artificial insemination was performed after routine natural estrus. The cows in groups B,C and D as the test groups were treated with different ovulation induction schemes, and artificial insemination was also performed after estrus.Among them,31 cows in group B were treated with CIDR + PMSG + PG + LHRH-A3,44 cows in group C were cows in group C were treated with CIDR + FSH + PG + LHRH-A3,and 24 cows in group D were created with CIDR + IHN + FSH + PG + LHRH-A3.The conception rates of the four treatment methods were statistically analyzed.[Result]The conception rates of groups A,B,C and D were 68.32%,29.03%,63.64%and 66.67%,respectively.The pregnancy rate of group B was significantly decreased by 39.29 percentage points compared with group A(P<0.01),and the pregnancy rate of group C and D had no significant difference compared with group A(P>0.05).The double calving rate of cows in groups C and D was significantly different from that in groups A and B(P<0.01),and the double calving rate in group D was 11.61 percentage points higher than that in group C(P<0.05).The proportion of cows with three or more calves in groups B,C and D was significantly higher than that in group A(P<0.01).Groups C and D were significantly higher than group B(P<0.01),and group C was significantly higher than group D(P<0.05).The live birth rate of two calves in groups C and D was significantly higher than that in groups A and B,respectively(P<0.01).The proportion of three or more calves in the total number of live calves in groups B,C and D was significantly higher than that in group A(P<0.01).[Conclusion]In conclusion, compared with the control group,D regimen had the best effect on inducing cows to produce double calving rate and live calves, followed by C regimen.Scheme B is the worst.
