[Objective]The conventional rice varieties suitable for promotion in Laos were screened out through the introduction test,which provided a reference for rice planting in Laos.[Method]In 2020-2021,four introduced Chinese conventional rice varieties from provinces of Hubei,Hunan,Guangdong,respectively,were tested in China-Laos Experimental Station of Superior Crop Varieties,Vientiane,Laos,The Jasmine variety of conventional rice grown mainly in the local area will be applied as a control to conduct tests And compare,observe its growth period,main agronomic traits,and measure yield.[Result]The test results showed that the growth period of the four introduced rice varieties was significantly shortened,and the yields were all higher than those of the control varieties,with an increase of 1.8%to 21.8%.Among them,"Huanghuazhan"increase yield by 1.8%,with non-significant increase effect,"Yuzhengxiang","E-xiang No.2","E-zhong No.5"increase yield by 21.8%,12.4%,9.7%,respectively,compared to the control,with significant increase effects.[Conclusion]"Yuzhengxiang","E-xiang No.2","E-zhong No.5"should continue to be tested and observed in order to screen out the best varieties suitable for local planting.
