Study on Production Performance and Adaptability of"Jing Tint 6"Laying Hens in Liuzhou City of Guangxi
[Objective]The aim of this study was to explore the production performance and adaptability of"Jing Tint 6"laying hens in Liunan District of Liuzhou city, where is a typical region in South China.[Methods]The"Jing Tint 6"laying hens were introduced and raised in Liunan District to observe survival rate, body weight gain, average daily feed intake and egg production performance.[Results](1)Survival rate for the hens was 97.10%in brooding period,99.70%in rearing period and 91.1%in laying period.(2)Body weight was 1735 g and 1780 g for the laying hens at age of 72 and 80 weeks,respectively.(3)Average daily feed intake was 116.65 g for each laying hen at age of 19~72 weeks and 116.78 g during 19~80 weeks.(4)Egg productivity:the hen began to lay at 140 days old.During 19~72 weeks, the egg number produced from each hen was 330,the total weight was 19.20 kg and each egg weighted 58.15 g in average. At the age of 19~80 weeks, the number of egg production for each hen was 376,the total weight was 21.85 kg and each egg weighted 58.13 g in average.Still, the egg production rate continued to be more than 90%around 46 weeks. The indicators above were close to or even better than that from the feeding standards of Beijing Huadu Yukou Poultry Industry Co.,Ltd.just except for the survival rate during the laying period.[Conclusion]The results of this study indicated that"Jing Tint 6"laying hens were suitable for breeding in Liuzhou City and providecl basis on the promotion of"jing Tint 6"lagying hens in south china.
