Investigation and Analysis of Mixed Infection of Staphylococcus Aureus and Corynebacterium Pseudotuberculosis in a Case of Goats
The aim of this paper was to investigate and analyze the causes of subcutaneous abscesses in various parts of bodies of some ewes in Pingguo city of Guangxi, which affected their feeding and exercise and led to leanness. The methods of bacterial isolation and culture, molecular biology and parasite morphology were used to detect pus and stool.Staphylococcus aureus and Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis were isolated from the pus,and coccidium eggs were found in the feces. The results of the drug sensitivity test showed that the mixed bacteria were highly sensitive to penicillin, amoxicillin, ciprofloxacin, amikacin, ceftazidime, doxycycline, ceftioxime, ceftiofurosin, gamamycin, amoxicillin, flufenicol, and moderately sensitive to kanamycin. There were resistant to cephalexin, streptomycin, pomomycin, enrofloxacin, neomycin, fosfomycin, marbofloxacin, lincomycin and azithromycin. The case was confirmed as a mixed infection of Staphylococcus aureus,Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis, and coccidiosis by laboratory testing.Based on the above test results, the farms can be guided to develop scientific and reasonable treatment plan in order to control the disease.
