Agricultural Cooperation between China and Vietnam in the New Situation:Complementary Advantages and Development Path
China and Vietnam are connected by land and sea.There are similar social systems and cultures between the two countries.Frequent exchanges are increasing in various fields and favorable conditions are provided for agricultural cooperation.Agricultural cooperation is not only a key area of China-Vietnam economic collaboration but also a crucial driving force for deepening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.From the perspective of factor endowment theory,it is found that China and Vietnam exhibit significant complementarity in agricultural capital,technology,and natural resources.At this stage,China and Vietnam have achieved remarkable results in agricultural science and technology innovation mechanism,digital technology cooperation,agricultural trade and other fields,but there is still room for further expansion in the bilateral trade structure and agricultural technology exchange mechanism.In order to continuously promote the prosperity and development of agriculture in the two countries,the two countries should develop more extensive areas of cooperation and formulate more effective cooperation strategies in the future in the context of building a China-Vietnam community of common destiny.This will enable them to share the joint research and development of saline-alkali tolerant crop varieties,enhance the development level of smart agriculture,extend the comprehensive effect of the agricultural industry chain and achieve mutual benefit and win-win cooperation in agriculture.
