Diagnosis and Control Measures of Local Chicks Disease in Guangxi
Chick diseases are those diseases caused by immature tissue and organ development and imperfect immune function,which lead to weak resistance and make them easily affected by various adverse factors during the breeding period.Once the chicks are sick,their growth performance is slower,resulting in low feed conversion;in severe case,they may even die,which seriously affects economic benefits.Local chicks require a high levele of management during the breeding period.Environmental factors are closely related to the incidence of chicken diseases.The worse the environmental conditions,the higher the incidence.Therefore,it is important to clean and disinfect the empty cages,control the temperature and humidity,prioritize water drinking,and implement biosafety.Based on the actual production situation,traditional Chinese medicine and micro-ecological bacteria should be the best choice for the initial water drinking.Formulating suitable immunization procedures for the site is also required,as well as strengthening scientific feeding management,actively preventing and isolateing the source of diseases,and improveing the health and antibody levels of chickens.This paper elaborates on several common diseases in local chicken production in Guangxi in recent years,including their prevalence characteristics,clinical symptoms and pathological changes.These findings will contribute to the diagnosis and prevention of chick diseases,and provide areference for the chicken breeding industry.
