Review on Certification and Promotion of High Quality Rice Varieties of Yexiangyou Series
The status of certification and promotion of the Yexiangyou series rice varieties was analyzed to assess the market potential and promotional value.With the data from rice variety certifications,we collected and categorized hybrid rice varieties certified with"Yexiang A"as the female parent.The certification time,areas,suitable ecological regions,rice quality,and promotion coverage were analyzed to assess the national promotion status of the Yexiangyou series varieties.From 2011 to 2023,67 varieties of the Yexiangyou series have been certified 101 times.These varieties has be promoted in the main indica rice cultivation areas across China.These grouped varieties has a high proportion of excellent rice quality,with large promotion areas and rapid promotion rates."Yexiang A"is a high-quality three-line male sterile line in indica rice,with certified varieties displaying superior rice quality,broad suitable ecological zones,and extensive promotion areas,thus facilitating the promotion of high-quality hybrid indica rice in China.In the niche of low-amylose,high-quality hybrid rice,Yexiangyou series rice varieties lead in terms of promotion and application.They have significant market potential and high promotion value,with ample room for further growth in the future.
