Screening Test of Semi-Mechanizational Direct Seeding Rice Varieties in Rongxian County,Guangxi
[Objective]This study was conducted in order to select high yield semi-mechaniza-tional direct seeding rice varieties suitable for local promotion in Rongxian County.[Method]The semi-mechanizational direct seeding cultivation experiment of new hybrid rice varieties was carried out according to the local topography,climate,soil and other conditions,and the yield,growth pe-riod and agronomic characteristics of 6 hybrid rice varieties were analyzed.At the same time,the key cultivation techniques of semi-mechanical direct seeding for high yield of rice were summarized from the aspects of field preparing,variety selection,sowing time and field management.[Result]The test results showed that'Shenliangyou 1173'and'Xiangxialiangyou 8773'had good comprehen-sive performance in the field,and had the characteristics of suitable growth period,strong resistance and high yield,so they were suitable for promoting in semi-mechanical direct planting.'Yuanx-iangyou 361'and'Lixiangyounasi'varieties had stable yield,and semi-mechanical planting could be properly promoted.'Xinfengyou 868'and'Yuxiangyou 058'were not suitable for the promotion in semi-mechanical direct planting.The key techniques for high-yield cultivation of semi-mechanical direct seeding rice include fine preparation of field to ensure good growing conditions for rice growth;appropriate rice variety selection,seed screen and treatment;determination of appropriate sowing time and seeding rate;careful field management,scientific fertilization and irrigation;and timely control of insect pests,diseases and weeds.[Conclusion]The new hybrid rice varieties'Shenliangyou 1173'and'Xiangxialiangyou 8773'performed well in the semi-mechanizational direct seeding cultivation experiment conducted in Rongxian County,so they were recommended for exten-sion as the varieties in semi-mechanizational direct seeding production in this county.
