Study on the floristic characteristics of seed plants in Tianhu National Wetland Park,Guangxi
[Objective]The current study was carried out to fully understand the resource sta-tus of vascular plants in Tianhu Wetland Park in Quanzhou,Guangxi.[Method]The floristic com-ponents of seed plants in Tianhu Wetland Park in Quanzhou,Guangxi were investigated by means of line transmutation,sampling,herbarium collection,literature reading,and so on.[Result]The re-sults showed that there were 465 species of seed plants belonging to 101 families and 301 genera in the park,including 3 species of gymnosperms and 462 species of angiosperms(391 species of 249 genera in 88 families of dicotyledonous plants,and 71 species of 49 genera in 10 families of mono-cotyledonous plants).Angiosperms occupied 97.03%,99.01%,and 99.35%of the total families,total genera and total species,respectively.Tianhu Wetland Park was mainly occupied by herbaceous plants,which species were 53.98%of the total species of spermatophytes;the second component was wood plants,which species were 38.71%of the total species of spermatophytes,and it was the main terrestrial vegetation in the wetland park;the third was vines,which species were 7.31%of the total species of spermatophytes,mainly as the interlayer plants.The flora of seed plants was com-plex and diverse,divided into 15 floristic types.There were 238 species of 34 families in zone type 1,which belonged to cosmopolitan families,accounting for 33.66%of the total plant families sur-veyed.Zone types 2~7 belonged to the tropical types,and they had 42 families,accounting for 41.59%of the total families,most of them were pantropical(tropical)in distribution,which con-tained 28 families,accounting for 27.72%of the total families,reflecting a certain degree of tropical characteristics of the seed plants in the wetland park.Distribution zone types 8~11 belonged to the temperate zone distribution,and they had 21 families,accounting for 20.79%of the total families.Among them,16 families were distributed in the northern temperate zone,accounting for 15.84%of the total families,with less temperate zone distribution characteristics.Other distribution types in-cluded types 12 to 15,having a total of 4 families,mainly the East Asian distribution,accounting for 3.96%of the total families,which were the representatives of the East Asian distribution type.There were 31 dominant families with 5 or more species,including Comaceae,Rosaceae,Poaceae,Sedge,Rhododendron,Polygonum,Euphorbia,Lily,and so on.There were 12 dominant genera with 5 or more species,including Artemisia,Caredge,Polygonum,and Nettle.Small families containing 1~4 species accounted for 69.31%of the total families,and small genera containing 1~4 species,mainly single species,accounted for 96.01%of the total species.There were 76 families with widespread distribution in the world and tropical areas which were dominated in the park,accounting for 75.25%of the total families,indicating certain tropical properties.there were 215 genera distributed in tropical and temperate areas,accounting for 71.53%of the total genera,indicating that the distri-bution types of the spermatophytes in this park are mainly tropical,and the geographical composi-tion of the flora has significant tropical and temperate geographical characteristics.Among the sper-matophytes,two genera were endemic to China,accounting for 0.66%of the total genera,namely Eomecon and Indocalamus.[Conclusion]This research has preliminarily explored the current sta-tus of vascular plant resources in Tianhu Wetland Park in Quanzhou,Guangxi,providing a scientific basis for management and protection of wetland parks.
