摘要
不管是西方的汉学和中国研究,还是我们自己的国学和当代中国研究,都有将中国的古典文明研究和当代中国现代化发展的现实研究割裂开来的倾向,二者常常互不关联、互不兼容,这不是当下中国研究理想的学术状态.新时代的中国研究呼唤一种新的学术范式,它必须在传统汉学、国学和作为"区域研究"的中国研究之间找到一条可以整合和圆融这三者的新的学术道路.而当下我们倡导和建构的世界中国学则是一条整合、圆融传统汉学、国学与当代中国研究的新概念、新路径,它的研究对象不仅是中国的古代文明,而且也包括中国的当代文明,要借助对中国古代文明的研究和总结,来解读中国当代现代化的历史过程和巨大成就.世界中国学是一门世界性的学问,它必须在与世界其他文明的交流互鉴中向前推进,同时也要为推动当下世界文明的交流互鉴作出积极的贡献.
Abstract
Whether it be Western Sinology and China Studies,or our own Chinese Studies,Chinese Classics and Contemporary China studies,there exists a widespread tendency to separate the study of China's classical civilization from the study of contemporary China's modernization and development,with the two often viewed as being unrelated to and incompatible with each other.This,however,is not the ideal academic state of modern Chinese studies;to the contrary,China studies in the new era calls for a new academic paradigm that can construct a new academic path that goes beyond traditional Sinology,Chinese Classics and contemporary China studies as"area studies"and can instead properly integrate these three.At present,we advocate for"China Studies of the World"as a new field that fulfills this purpose.Its focus is not only China's ancient civilization,but also China's contemporary civilization,under the belief that it it is necessary to interpret the historical growth and great achievements of China's contemporary modernization based on our understanding of ancient Chinese civilization."China Studies of the World"is intended to be a worldwide academic field,and thus must move towards exchanges and mutual learning with other civilizations in the world while promoting interchanges between those same civilizations in turn.
