肃卣铭文中的伯氏应指倗伯,大宫应是指代倗氏宗族的宗伯,(井争)字读为争,相争、争夺之意,铭文记载了西周时期倗氏宗族内部因民人所有权转移而引起的一场诉讼纠纷,在王室干预下得到最终解决的事件,对于理解西周时期宗族内部矛盾以及西周王室与地方宗族的关系有重要意义.西周时期的庶人和仆,都是对贵族具有依附关系的从事不同职事的平民.
Abstract
The term"伯氏"in the Su-You Inscription should refer to Peng-Bo,and"大宫"likely represents the zongbo of the Peng clan.The character(井争)isread as"Zheng",meaning dispute or contention.The inscription records a legal dispute within the Peng clan during the Western Zhou period,arising from the transfer of ownership of commoners,which was ultimately resolved through royal intervention.This event is significant for understanding internal clan conflicts and the relationship between the Zhou royal house and local clans during the Western Zhou period.During this time,the terms庶人(commoners)and 仆(servants)referred to commoners engaged in various occupations under the dependency of the nobility.
