Objective To conduct a survey on the health promotion demand in the workplace of a cement enterprise in Guangxi and provide data support for the enterprise to carry out health promotion interventions in the workplace.Methods A cluster sampling method was adopted to conduct a questionnaire survey among 326 employees of a cement enterprise in Guangxi in 2023.The questionnaire included questions about general demographic information,occupational health status,awareness of occupational health knowledge and general health knowledge,general health status and lifestyle,occupational health service and health knowledge needs.Results The signing rate of labor contracts,the participation rate of work-related injury insurance,and the rate of occupational health physical examination among employees of the cement enterprise were all 100.00％.The satisfaction rate of employees with the existing working conditions was 93.87％.The overall awareness rate of employees'occupational health knowledge(71.09％)was higher than the overall awareness rate of health knowledge(52.07％).The awareness rate of male employees on the concept of occupational diseases,the prevention of occupational diseases,the ways in which poisons entered the human body,and the ways in which AIDS was transmitted was higher than females.The awareness rate of the concept of occupational diseases was the highest among the group aged less than 30.The younger the employee,the higher their awareness of the pathways through which toxicants entered the human body.The higher the education level of employees,the higher their awareness of the concept of occupational diseases,the prevention of occupational diseases,the ways in which poisons entered the human body,the concept of health,preventive measures for chronic diseases,and the ways of HIV transmission.The awareness rate of health concepts and chronic disease prevention measures among managers were higher than production workers.The percentage of employees'demand for various occupational health services was greater than 90.00％.For employees,the most needed general health knowledge was chronic disease prevention and treatment(73.31％),and the most needed occupational health knowledge was the types of occupational hazard factors and their harm to the human body(87.12％).Conclusions The awareness rate of occupational health knowledge and general health knowledge among employees of the cement enterprise is relatively low,and they have certain needs for occupational health services,occupational health knowledge,and general health knowledge.The enterprise can formulate and implement targeted intervention measures based on the needs of employees,effectively improve the working environment of the enterprise,and enhance the health literacy of the workers,so that it can promote the healthy development of the enterprise and safeguard the well-being of its workers.
