Objective To analyze the milk and dairy product intake status and nutritional factors among residents in Zhuhai, and provide scientific basis for dietary guidance on the intake of milk and dairy products by residents. Methods A multi-stage random sampling method was used, and the distribution balance of regional and urban-rural stratification factors was considered. In 2021,five survey points were selected in Zhuhai, with 120 households randomly selected at each point.Residents aged 3 years and above from each selected household were selected as survey subjects for resident nutrition survey. The intake rate and quantity of milk products over the past 12 months were analyzed, and compared with the recommended intake of dairy products in"The Chinese Dietary Guidelines(2022)".Results A total of 1 476 residents aged 3 years and above in Zhuhai were surveyed, with a male-to-female ratio of 1∶1.05.The population was mainly 15~<65 years old(77.2%,1 137 individuals),residing in the main urban area(48.0%,709 individuals),with high school education or above(59.5%,878 individuals),with annual income above RMB 80 000(37.7%,556individuals),and agricultural, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery production personnel(53.2%,785 individuals). The consumption rate of dairy products was found to be 79.5%(1 174/1 476).The intake rate and amount of 1 174 people who drank milk and dairy products in the past 12 months were analyzed, and the proportion of people aged 15 to 64 who consumed milk and dairy products less than 7 times was 41.9%.Among people of all age groups,26.1%consumed 300 ml or more per day. There were statistically significant differences in the distribution of milk and dairy product intake rates among residents of different gender, age, urban and rural areas, education level, occupation, and total family income levels(all P<0.05).The results of multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that 3~<15 years old(OR=15.073),and those working as professional and technical clerks(OR=1.163)were more likely to consume milk and milk products. Conclusions The overall intake rate of dairy products was higher in Zhuhai residents, but the non-intake rate was higher in male,15~<65 years old, rural, housework, unemployed, and retired people, and the intake of each age group is generally lower than the recommended amount. In the future,in-depth science popularization and health education on the"The Chinese Dietary Guidelines(2022)"and dairy products should be focus on males,15~<65 years old, rural, household, unemployed, and retired people, which promote attention among all people to nutrition and health.
