Objective To explore the operative technique and early clinical effect of chinese-made unicondylar arthroplasty for varus knee osteoarthritis. Methods From April 2021 to April 2022,32 patients with varus knee osteoarthritis were treated with minimally invasive domestic unicondylar arthroplasty. An 8 cm oblique incision was made on the medial side of the knee, and the tibial condyle osteotomy was performed by intramedullary localization, with longitudinal osteotomy followed by horizontal oste-otomy,and the femoral condyle osteotomy was performed using a femoral guide device, the proper prosthesis was selected, the bal-ance of extension and flexion and the stability of knee joint were confirmed repeatedly during operation, and the postoperative complications and imaging results were recorded. The hip-ankle angle, proximal medial angle of tibia, knee range of motion,OKS score and KSS score were compared before and after operation. Results All patients were followed up for an average of 8.0(4-16)months.The average length of stay was 7.0(5-10)days.The X-ray film of the last follow-up showed that the varus deformity of the lower limb was corrected, and there were no prosthesis malposition or loosening, nor was there infection and prosthesis revi-sion.The angle of hip, knee and ankle at the last follow-up was smaller than that before operation, the difference was significant(P<0.05).The medial angle of proximal tibia was larger than that before operation in the last follow-up(P<0.05).The range of mo-tion of knee joint at the last follow-up was greater than that before operation, and the difference was significant(P<0.05).The OKS score at the last follow-up was significantly lower than that before operation(P<0.05).The KSS score at the last follow-up was significantly higher than that before operation(P<0.05).Conclusion The chinese-made unicondylar arthroplasty for the treatment of varus knee osteoarthritis is straightforward, with good recovery of knee function, fewer complications and less trauma.
