Objective To compare clinical effect of arthroscopy cuff-shape preservation and non-preservation for reconstruc-tion of anterior cruciate ligament rupture. Methods From June 2016 to March 2019,according to inclusion and exclusion cri-teria 52 patients with anterior cruiate ligament rupture were enrolled in this study, randomly grouped into cuff-shape preserva-tion group and non-preservation group, with 26 patients in each group;two groups were compared using the following variables:tendon-bone healing, index of perception under passive movement,Lysholm knee score, forward distance measured by KT-2000,the rate of return to play. Results All the patients were followed up for 24 months. In all cases no complications such as inci-sion infection or functional limitation occurred. At the last follow-up,results showed the grade Ⅰ healing rate in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At 3 and 24 months the in-dex of perception under passive movement in the experimental group was better than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).At 3 and 24 months,Lysholm knee score showed no statistically significant difference be-tween the two groups(P>0.05).At 3 and 24 months forward distance by KT-2000 showed statistically significant difference be-tween the two groups, the experimental group was better(P<0.05).At the last follow-up return to play rate in the experimental group better than control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Cuff-shape preservation re-construction under arthroscope is a safe and effective method for the treatment of anterior cruciate ligament rupture, which can obtain early better proprioception than the non-preservation reconstruction, better tendon-bone healing, improve joint stability and return to play rate.
