The simultaneous advancement of new productive forces, new industrialization, and new urbanization,as another significant achievement in the process of Chinese-style modernization,is an essential pathway to achieving high-quality develop-ment.By viewing the three new elements as input factors and high-quality development as the output result,we measure the total factor efficiency of the three new elements using the SBM model and examine their spatiotemporal evolution characteristics through methods such as variance decomposition,Moran's index, and convergence models. From 2006 to 2022,the promoting effect of the three new elements on high-quality development has become increasingly evident, with new productive forces serving as the back-bone of this progress. The spatial differences in the total factor efficiency of the three new elements show a divergent trend, with in-ter-regional differences in the four major regions being the main source of the overall difference. The spatial agglomeration effect drives the total factor efficiency of new productive forces and new industrialization to exhibit a convergence trend. The agglomeration center of the total factor efficiency of the three sub-elements is tilted toward the eastern regions. The total factor efficiency of new productive forces and new urbanization respectively shows a pattern of stronger performance in the south and weaker performance in the north, while the total factor efficiency of new industrialization has shifted from stronger in the south to stronger in the north.
