In the context of the"dual-carbon"goal,enterprises promote green technological innovation through digital transformation,which not only concerns their own survival and development,but also serves as the microfoundation for promoting China's sustainable economic development.Based on the data of A-share listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2009 to 2022,the study examines the impact of digital transformation on enterprises'green technological innovation.The study finds that digital transformation helps to improve the level of green technology innovation of enterprises,and the estimation results are very ro-bust.The mechanism test shows that digital transformation promotes corporate green technology innovation through enhancing inter-nal capacity building,increasing external market attention and increasing government subsidies.Heterogeneity analysis shows that digital transformation promotes firms'green technology innovation more significantly in state-owned enterprises and regions with high environmental regulation intensity.This study provides empirical evidence for understanding that digital transformation empowers enterprises'green technology innovation,and provides theoretical and practical references for promoting digital transformation for sustainable economic development in China.
