To further explore the relationship between digital transformation and green technology innovation in the manufac-turing industry,this paper conducted on the relationship between digital transformation and green technology innovation in the manu-facturing industry nationwide from 2013 to 2023.Using the efficiency of green technology innovation in the manufacturing industry as the dependent variable,the level of digital transformation in the manufacturing industry as the independent variable,and indus-try size,capital intensity,financing capacity,foreign investment ratio,and technology maturity as control variables,the relation-ship between the dependent variable and the independent variable is verified through regression analysis,robustness and heterogenei-ty test,and other methods.The results show that digital transformation significantly promotes green technology innovation in the manufacturing industry,and the larger the industry scale and the stronger the capital intensity of the manufacturing industry,the higher the efficiency of green technology innovation;The promotion effect of digital transformation on manufacturing industries with different export dependence,development stages,digital sources,and industry factors varies.It has a stronger promotion effect on green technology innovation in manufacturing industries with high export dependence,advanced development stages,international digital sources,and high-tech innovation;Digital transformation can promote innovation in green technologies in the manufacturing industry by reducing external transaction costs and increasing market competition.To enhance green technology innovation in the manufacturing industry,this paper proposes strategies including strengthening industry market competitiveness and enhancing go-vernment regulation,in order to better leverage the role of digital transformation in promoting green technology innovation in the manu-facturing industry.
