Analysis on the Diversity and Floristic of Lycophytes and Ferns in Liangshan Mountains Area
In order to research the current status of the diversity of Lycophytes and Ferns in the mountainous re-gion of the Liangshan Mountains Area(LMA),and to clarify the species composition and flora characteristics of the region.A list of Lycophytes and Ferns in the LMA was obtained on the basis of field investigation, specimen collection combining with historical data, and their diversity, rare and endangered status was analyzed as well. There are currently 409 species(including sub species)of Lycophytes and Fern recorded belonging to 90 genera,28 families in the LMA.Among them Dryopteridaceae(89 species),Pteridaceae(70 species)and Polypodiaceae(60 species)were the dominant families while Polystichum(39 species),Dryopteris(34 species)and Athyrium(24 species)were the dominant genera. There 141 species were endemic to China with endemic rate of 24.47%,9 threatened species and 8 species of national second-class protected plants with high protection value, but no crit-ically endangered species was recorded at present. In terms of geographical composition, the family level and ge-nus level were dominated by tropical components which showed the tropic and subtropical characteristics of lo-cal climate and environment. In comparison with other regions, the geographical flora of family was closely relat-ed to Ganjiang Yuan Nature Reserve in Jiangxi province and genera was closely related to the floras of Mufu Mountains in Hunan province.
