Research on the Verification and Clinical Application of Tibetan Medicine Agajieba with Same Name and Different Recipes
Objective:the historical evolution,formulas and efficacy of"Agajieba"with same name and differ-ent recipes were explored to provide a references for its clinical application and the development of modern clas-sic prescriptions.Methods:Bibliometric methods were employed to collect ancient Tibetan medical literature documented the formulas of"Agajieba"types.A deep examination of their names,sources,prescription,efficacy and dosages was conducted.Results:15 homonym formulas named"Agajieba"were identified and organized in-to five categories based on naming principles involving 34 types of Tibetan medicinal herbs,among which Agari,Myristica fragrans,Terminalia chebula,Dolomiaea souliei are the core drugs with function of regulating the disor-der of five loong used in powder form originally.Despite variations in dosage across different ancient texts,all fol-low the Tibetan medical principle of'indefinite dosage with equal increments in dosage,definite dosage with pro-portional increment in dosage'.Conclusion:"Agajieba"formulas mainly used for treating loong disorders and the primary drug"Agari"have multiple sources.It is recommended to select the corresponding source drugs ac-cording to different diseases and follow the powder proportion principles.The excavating and sorting the Tibetan medical literature on formulas of"Agajieba"types and determining its key information provide theoretical refer-ence for its clinical application,formulation preparation,and new drug development.
