Preparation and photocataIytic activity of rGO/TiO 2 doubIe-sheII hoIIow sphere nanocomposites
A novel reduced graphene oxide/titanium dioxide double-shell hollow sphere nanocomposite(rGO/TiO2HS) was prepared by sol-gel method using SiO2 as template. The prepared sample was characterized by SEM,XRD,FT-IR. Combined with the synergistic effect of rGO and TiO2 and the unique structure,rGO/TiO2HS nanocomposites can inhi-bit the photo-generated electron-hole pair recombination,increase the specific surface area,and improve the light uti-lization efficiency. Consequently,its photocatalytic activity of methyl orange wastewater under UV light irradiation was enhanced. In addition,rGO/TiO2HS proved to have good stability.
