In the early years of the Jiajing era of Ming Dynasty,Wang Yangming was appointed as the Governor of Liang-guang to quell Sitian Rebellion.His appointment was recommended by court officials such as Yang Yiqing.The Emperor did not trust Wang Yangming,but he ultimately agreed to the appointment.Wang's reaction to his appointment was also relatively complex,experiencing a shift from initial declining to ultimately acceptance.This appointment event was influ-enced by a combination of considerations from both the Emperor and his court officials,as well as the interplay between them and Wang Yangming himself,and it was also a result of the court's effort to satisfy his certain political demands.
