The concept of time is an important perspective and problem awareness in traditional Chinese philosophy. With a profound sense of the universe,Lu Jiuyuan prioritized the significance of the"universe"in relation to"sages"in the process of the formation and establishment of his philosophy of mind.He emphasized the necessity of mastering time through the nature of one's mind, yet he did not agree with exaggerating the void or non-temporal aspects of time.In his view, the rules of the mind's activities can be referred to as"the time of the mind laws,"which broadly manifests as es-tablishing a fundamental standpoint of"first establishing the great"and then progressing through processes of"fa","chong","fan",and"qiu."Therefore, the transition from"universe"to"my mind"and"innate mind,"and then from the"fullness of the innate mind that fills the universe,"encompasses numerous theoretical elements and practical efforts.Lu Jiuyuan did not overlook the principles of yin-yang and the four seasons as the"time of the calendar laws";instead,he placed more emphasis on the interaction between"the time of the mind laws"and"the time of the calendar laws."These views constitute the main characteristics of his concept of time in relation to the"innate mind."
