Abstract
Microbes in the gut not only participate in the digestion of food and the absorption of nutrients, but also are closely related to the host's immune system, metabolism and nervous system. In recent years, increasing evidence has shown that the imbalance of intestinal microflora is associated with the occurrence and development of multiple chronic diseases, such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, enteritis, bowel cancer,as well as autoimmune diseases. Therefore, this paper starts the research on the relationship between the imbalance of human intestinal microflora and chronic diseases,in order to provide new strategies and perspectives for the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases.
