As an important part of traditional medicine industry,Chinese herbal medicines have a long history and rich accumulated experience.They are processed and prepared from natural plants,animals and minerals,etc.,and are widely used in the field of traditional Chinese medicine industry.Polysaccharides of Chinese herbal medicines are a class of natural polymer compounds with a wide range of biological activities,and have a variety of pharmacological effects such as antioxidant,anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor.With the in-depth research on polysaccharides from Chinese herbal medicines,polysaccharide extraction technology has been developed continuously.This paper reviews the research progress on polysaccharide extraction technology of Chinese herbal medicines in recent years,including extraction methods,optimization of extraction process,and improvement of extraction efficiency,aiming to provide references for the development and utilization of polysaccharides in Chinese herbal medicines.
