Research Progress on Autophagy and Apoptosis of Shellfish Cells
Autophagy and apoptosis are two fundamental pathophysiological mechanisms of cell fate regulation.According to the studies of mammals,it has been found that signaling pathways involved in the response are significantly interconnected through various crosstalk mechanisms. However, autophagy and apoptosis crosstalk have been little studied in invertebrates such as bivalves. In this paper,it focuses on the molecular mechanisms of cellular autophagy and apoptosis and their connections, and discusse the research progress of autophagy and apoptosis of bivalve shellfish,to explore the key roles of autophagy and apoptosis in aquatic organisms'development and evolution, and provide theoretical foundations for further exploration of the molecular mechanisms of autophagy and apoptosis in invertebrates.
