Immunochromatographic Test Strips for Simultaneous Detection of Escherichia Coli O157∶H7 and Salmonella Based on Shellac Red Conjugate
In order to get rid of the need for paired antibodies in immunochromatographic test strips, this paper designed a new type of target-colored immunochromatographic test strips. The immunochromatographic strips were"visualized"by the method of mordanting and dyeing with shellac red pigment and potassium aluminum sulfate dodecahydrate. The results showed that the limits of detection for Escherichia coli O157∶H7 and Salmonella were 106 CFU/mL,there was no cross-reactivity with common foodborne pathogens, and the two were detectable within 9 hours of enrichment in chicken breast, egg, and milk food matrices. This paper successfully establish a simple,low-cost,and more easily localized rapid detection immunochromatographic test strip, and provided a new approach for the design of subsequent immunochromatographic test strips.
