The Effect of Different Residence Times of Biofilter Systems On the Removal Efficiency of H2S and NH3 in Odor
The residence time of gas in the system is one of the important factors affecting the removal efficiency of biofilters. This paper studies the effect of different residence time on the removal of H2S and NH3 in odor by using a pilot scale biofilter. The results show that with the increase of gas residence time, the removal rates of H2S and NH3 increase. When the residence time of the biochemical section is 17s,the removal rates of H2S and NH3 by the device are greater than 90%.When the residence time is the same, there is a positive correlation between the solubility of H2S and NH3 in the spray solution and their removal efficiency in the odor.
