Evaluation of Heavy Metal Pollution in Vegetable Soil Around East China Based on the Meta-analysis
According to 92 research papers published from 2000 to 2023,this study investigates the different heavy metal pollutions(Cd,Cr,Hg,Pb,As,Cu,Zn,Ni)of vegetable soil in East China by using the meta-analysis.The results show that heavy metals are generally accumulated in vegetable soil around East China, especially for the Cd pollution. The contents of Cd,Cr,Cu,Zn and Ni in soil are significantly higher, which are all greater than 0.The content of Cd,Cr,Cu,Zn and Ni in soil are significantly increased by 120%,10.5%,26.5%,16.6%and 6.8%,compared with background values.Besides, the heavy metal accumulation in vegetable soil is related to the local economic development. The heavy metal accumulation in vegetable soil is usually accompanied by soil acidification, which can enhance the bio-availability of soil heavy metals. This paper comprehensively evaluates the status, driving factors and characteristics of heavy metal pollutions in vegetable soil around East China through the meta-analysis,in order to provide references for evaluating the heavy metal pollution of vegetable soil and give data supports for the soil environmental quality improvement and the food safety.
