In nature,heavy metals are easy to exist in industrial wastewater of metallurgy,mining,chemical industry,tannery,textile and cause environmental pollution.Refractory to degradation,easy to enrich,highly toxic,and concealment are the prominent characteristics of heavy metals.Heavy metals,such as mercury,cadmium,chromium,lead,arsenic and nickel,can pose risks to the natural environment and human survival and health.Based on this,the paper comprehensively analyzes the sources,harmfulness,treatment status,research progress and treatment methods of heavy metal polluted wastewater,and reveals the treatment principles and effects of various treatment methods.
