Nitrogen Removal Efficacy and Economic Analysis of Membrane Aerated Biofilm Reactors in Practical Applications
The membrane aerated biofilm reactor(MABR)is a new type of domestic sewage treatment technology, and bubbleless(microporous)aeration and anisotropic mass transfer are its core features. When using the MABR to treat specific domestic sewage, through the adjustment of the influent flow rate and aeration pressure parameters, the removal rates of NH3-N and TN can reach 99.5%and 83%,which is superior to the traditional AAO(Anaerobic-Anoxic-Oxic)method.The difference is not significant with the MABR and the AAO method in the comparison of the cost of per-ton water throughout the entire lifestyle, and the MABR has a certain value of popularization.
