Research progress on emergency nursing of chemical eye injury
Chemical eye injury(CEI)is a critical emergency that occurs when corrosive substances accidentally enter the eyes, characterized by rapid progress, extensive corneal surface damage, permanent visual impairment, and a high disability rate. With the development of the chemical industry, the incidence of CEI is increasing yearly. At present, the consensus of experts pointed out that rapid and efficient irrigation can greatly improve the cure rate of CEI patients.Because the subjects selected from first aid studies of eye burn fields were different, and the applicability of the results in a series of case reports is limited, the best flushing nursing measures in first aid are still controversial, and no literature shows an indisputable and efficient flushing solution. This article summarizes the new progress of emergency nursing research in the treatment of CEI at home and abroad. It discusses the effectiveness of on-site nursing intervention and the practical consideration of the use of different flushing fluids based on existing research,to provide a reference for CEI patients to choose various nursing measures quickly, scientifically and reasonably in different stages, and to improve the cure rate of CEI emergency care.
