The relationship between occupational stress and job satisfaction of teachers in Tianjin higher vocational colleges
Objective To explore the influence of occupational stress and psychological capital on teachers'job satisfaction in higher vocational colleges,and to provide scientific basis for improving the quality of teachers'work,promoting the development of higher vocational colleges and realizing the"double high"plan.Methods From September to December 2019,2200 vocational teachers from 10 vocational colleges in Tianjin were randomly selected from a cross-sectional survey.The questionnaire was used to investigate the payment-return imbalance,psychological capital and job satisfaction.Multiple linear regression model was used to explore the effects of occupational stress and organizational support on job satisfaction of Internet employees.The gradual re-sampling method was used to test the mediating effect of psychological capital on the relationship between occupational stress and job satisfaction.Results There was a negative correlation between occupational stress and job satisfaction(r=-0.486,P<0.01),psychological capital was positively correlated with job satisfaction(r=0.619,P<0.01),explaining 20.6%and 25.1%of job satisfaction,respectively.The mediating effect of psychological capital on the relationship between occupational stress and job satisfaction was-7.095(-8.512 to-5.735),and the effect was statistically significant(P<0.01),accounting for 32.20%of the total effect.Conclusion Improving vocational teachers'occupational stress and improving psychological capital have positive effects on improving job satisfaction.
